There are a number of great photo reproduction labs in L.A. My top recommendations for price and quality are REPRODUCTIONS in Studio City and ARGENTUM in Hollywood.
Both produce high quality prints that will tell people you are a professional. They are both easy to get to and actor friendly.
What I LOVE about REPRODUCTIONS is their MasterPhoto Heavy prints for 8 x 10 and postcards. These prints are not on photo paper, but results are stunning.
These prints allow you to use an ink jet printer to print directly to the back of your HEADSHOT or post card!
This means you don’t have to cut your paper resume to size and staple it to the back to your 8 x 10 like everyone else.
It also means you can update and customize your resume for every audition.
This saves you money when you don’t have to throw out a hundred outdated precut resumes.
Another big way to save is to order prints from the alternative labs (Costco). I only recommend this if you have images that you use only once in a while.
That full length image of you doing a spinning back kick might come in handy for your next Jackie Chan Movie audition.
Saving money is important, but don’t print your headshots at home or go to a cheap printer.
Pay for quality prints. Your professional image can be hurt by low quality headshot print.
You put great effort into getting the best headshot possible. Make sure your headshot print tells people you are a professional.
